The engineer Guido Raccosta
sets up
the G. Raccosta & C° company,
aimed at designing
and manufacturing tool machines.

1955

The main products,
butter seals for example,
are sold to the food industry.

1961

FIMMA is founded.

1965

Gaetano Raccosta, Guido's son,
joins the company; then comes
the technical side-of-things
and further developments.

1966

Eyelets for the footwear
and leather goods industries
go into production.

1975

Rivets
go into production.

1979

Sandro, Gaetano’s brother, joins
the company and not only develops
the sales area but also creates an
international distribution network.
He stayed with the company for
20 years, but, sadly, serious illness
stopped him in his tracks.

1982

FIMMA becomes
a joint-Stock Company;
press studs go into production.

1992

A new factory is built,
and the company moves into
its current location.

1994

Alessandra,
a third-generation member
of the Raccosta family,
joins the company.

1996

FIMMA obtains
its first quality certification.

2001

The factory is expanded
and new management
offices are created.

2006

Andrea, Gaetano's son,
joins the company.

Today

FIMMA S.p.A.
plays an important role
within the clothing industry and
is geared specifically towards
the leather goods, footwear,
paper-making and food industries.
